Peter Mason is a poet from Rochester, NY. He received a BA from SUNY Fredonia and is currently an MFA Candidate in Poetry at the University of Arkansas. His work is the recipient of the inaugural C.D. Wright/Academy of American Poets Prize, a finalist for the 2018 Puerto del Sol Poetry Contest, the Runner-Up in Epiphany: A Literary Journal’s 2017 Spring Contest judged by Patricia Smith, and has been nominated for the Best of the Net Anthology by Muzzle Magazine & Red Paint Hill. His work has appeared in Booth, The Journal, Vinyl Poetry & Prose, and elsewhere. He is the Development Director and an Assistant Poetry Editor of The Arkansas International, a Co-Founder of |tap| literary magazine, and a Co-Curator of the Open Mouth Reading Series.
