Chris Tamigi is a fourth-year student in the MFA program focusing on literary translation. He received a 2014 fellowship from the American Literary Translators Association, and his work has been published or is forthcoming in Hayden’s Ferry and The Massachusetts Review. His favorite part of WITS is encouraging young poets to let their creativity run free (when a student asks if they can do something in their poem, the answer is always “yes”), and he says that by participating in WITS he probably learns as much as the students do.
