She had some trees that waltzed through town

She had some trees that were scared of the dark

My fork watches as I consume it
In the jungle my fork stays with me
Fork was braver than I am
That fork feeds me
Every meal I eat or will eat that fork’ll be there

Is the “s” or “c” silent in scent?
That leafy green veggie that I love
was planted, harvested, and eaten by me.
It was all fine until the poultry came
and pecked it to its demise.
Now I no longer have my Brussels sprouts
For those poultry took it all these years
