Molly Rector is a fourth-year candidate for her MFA in poetry. She was the recipient of the 2015 Whitehead/Harrison Memorial Fellowship, and the 2016 Christopher McKean and Carolyn F. Walton Cole fellowships in poetry. Molly is participating in WITS because she strongly believes in helping young people develop perspective through closer attention to the world around them. She loves to see how WITS students combine humor and insight in their poems, and appreciates especially how wild elementary students can get with analogies. Originally from Little Rock, she lives in Fayetteville with two cats named Dorian and Andre. She doesn’t have a favorite color because she likes them all.
