Megan Downey is a graduate of the University of Arkansas MFA Program in Creative Writing. She grew up in a very small town in Indiana and graduated from Indiana University with degrees in English and Art History. Before joining Arkansas’s MFA program, she lived and worked in Baltimore, Maryland.
She is the recipient of the 2015 James T. Whitehead Award, the 2014 Lily Peter Fellowship, and was awarded a scholarship to the Indiana University Writers’ Conference. Megan has taught Composition 1 and 2 at the U of A and served as WITS director from Fall 2014-Spring 2017.
