Hailing from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Larissa a 4th year MFA student in the Fiction program. She is currently enjoying the mild Arkansas weather and trying to focus on researching and writing a historical fiction novel. While she hopes to teach Creative Writing at some point, she currently teaches Comp II, and also tutors at the Quality Writing Center. She fell in love with WITS on her first trip and hopes to participate in as many trips as she can while she is here. The enthusiasm of WITS students for poetry is refreshing and wonderful to see, and their creativity leaves her feeling inspired both in her teaching and writing. When she is not teaching, tutoring, reading, or writing, Larissa can generally be found riding her horse somewhere in the Ozarks.
