David Kinzer studied fiction at the University of Arkansas. He has taught Composition 1 and 2 at the University and worked with junior high and high school students in the Springdale Public School through the Arkansas Studio Project. He was a recipient of the Walton Fellowship and also tutored students at the University’s Quality Writing Center. Before coming to Arkansas, he obtained a B.A. from the University of Michigan Honors Program. His favorite part of the WITS program is writing poems along with the students and then being simultaneously disappointed and proud when they write better poems than he does.
